Our Story
Engentus is Western Australian born and raised. The company came to life in 2014 when Brian Bradshaw first imagined the Segnut in his workshop; a revolutionary lateral release nut that would eliminate the need for unsafe nut removal methods and would improve the wellbeing of workers in all industrial industries. The invention of the Segnut was inspired by the need for safer workplaces and has since paved the way for the complete life cycle tooling range, including our signature product, the TopTorque.
Since the invention of the original Segnut, our mission has widened to become a developer of innovative solutions for all shapes and sizes of bolted joints. Engentus now has an extensive portfolio of Intellectual Property which has enabled us to partner with global companies to deliver solutions which are increasing productivity and raising standards for Work Heath and Safety globally.

Invention of the lateral release nut
The company came to life in 2014 when Brian Bradshaw first imagined the Segnut in his workshop; a revolutionary lateral release nut that would eliminate the need for unsafe nut removal methods and would improve the wellbeing of workers in all industrial industries.
Rebranding to Engentus Pty Ltd
In early 2021 Segnut rebranded to Engentus Pty Ltd to better reflect the expanding range of fastener technologies.
Engentus is named as a finalist for the AIHS Australian Workplace Health & Safety Awards 2023 in the category of Best WHS Technology Initiative. Recognising the Engentus revolutionary TopTorque Reactionless Technology.
Engentus wins the 2023 Australian Mining Excellence in Mine Safety, OH&S award, recognising the increased safety and removal of risk to workers at mine sites. Engentus won the award for the revolutionary TopTorque Reactionless Technology.
